What do we do about the apps?

Swimming, swimming, keep on swimming. I’m currently in Boston for the night, and tomorrow I head to Maine. At the airport, I was left by two Lyft drivers. You see, Lyft doesn’t go to the Lyft signs because the airport changed some policy. So you book a car, follow the instructions, and then the driver wonders where you are. You try to notify Lyft, but they only accept feedback in the form of pre-written blurbs. And so, yes, society is crumbling. But we must stop the collapse. I believe we can. Surely. I kept wanting to throw my hands up, but I encountered a few very nice and helpful city workers who went out of their way to help me and wouldn’t accept any cash. And so I believe humans are worth saving, and some want to help. We must do something about the apps tho!

Where did I go wrong?

A year ago, I was living with my girlfriend — my wife to be — and I was VP at the company where I had been for years. But then I had a few strokes, I was unconscious and drugged for months, got fired from my job, and got left by my fiancĂ©e. But here’s the thing… I don’t want to give up. I’m not ready to surrender. I still believe good — no, great — things are possible. It’s always darkest before dawn… that’s the saying anyway. I don’t know if it’s true. My woman left me when I needed her most. Right after my birthday… and she took the dog! It’s like country music! But like Dory in Finding Nemo, I’ve gotta keep on swimming. I think the most painful part of my ex leaving is that (a) I really loved her and (b) I was SO wrong. I know it was hard for her that I had a stroke. But you know who else it was hard for? Me. And so now my recovery is all up to me. I was told I’d have a robust recovery. Here’s where that stands: (A) I appear to have a full field of vision, but my eyes look at differ...

A Real PSA

As it is summer, and much of the country is experiencing a heat wave, please stay hydrated and avoid extreme heat. Officially, nobody knows why I had a (3) stroke(s), but my mom's husband was regaling us with his iphone screenshots, when I realized my strokes began at the tail end of record heat. When I looked up the date on my phone, I found videos of me hooping it up. And so officially my stroke(s) were cryptogenic, but I am telling you, the heat is no joke. So stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe.
